Mrs. Kimberly Granger To All Instructors

Instructor Kimberly Granger has been teaching guitar at private schools for well over a decade. During that time, she has also faithfully served on worship teams as both a guitarist and vocalist. She loves helping students connect their guitar skills to real-life ministry, giving them practical tools to confidently use their gifts in worship settings. Many of her students have gone on to lead worship in their own churches throughout the Houston area and beyond.

Kimberly started her teaching journey at Family Christian Academy in 2010 and continued there through 2026. Over the years, her program grew to over 40 students. She developed her own “living” curriculum—constantly adapting it based on what helps students learn best. A big focus of her teaching is equipping students to lead, and one of the most meaningful ways they do this is by leading worship during school chapels. These moments allow students to use their gifts in a real and impactful way. They also have opportunities to perform in Christmas programs and end-of-year recitals, all organized by Kimberly. During the summers, Kimberly offered a praise team band camp where students could explore different instruments used in a worship setting and work together to form a band by the end of the week—something both fun and confidence-building. In 2024, Kimberly began teaching at Humble Christian Academy, and in 2025 she opened her home to offer private guitar lessons to the homeschool community.

She has built strong relationships with her students and families, often teaching students for many years and getting to watch them grow not just as musicians, but as confident young men and women. More than anything, Kimberly loves seeing students discover their abilities and use them with confidence. She is excited to invest in her future Scholars students and help guide them as they grow both musically and personally.

Kimberly lives in the Atascocita area with her husband, Daniel, and their two children, ages 11 and 13. They also have two adorable dogs, Lucky and Toby—who are a favorite part of the experience for many of her homeschool students, especially during the often requested “puppy time” after lessons. She currently is a member of and serves on the United City Church worship team as an acoustic guitarist and vocalist.
