Michelle Newell

Hello! My name is Michelle Newell, and I am honored to serve as the Academic Director at Scholars.

Faith and family are my foundation. Jesus Christ is my rock and my redeemer. I have been married for 25 years, and my husband and I are active members of Houston Northeast Church. While I have previously enjoyed teaching in the children’s ministry, I currently serve in a supportive role as director of an adult Life Group.

My passion for education is rooted in 16 years of homeschooling my own three daughters and over a decade of leadership as a Director for a homeschool community program. These experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the partnership between home and school, as well as the rigor required for academic success.

I approach the role of Academic Director with a unique blend of educational heart and operational precision. As a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, I bring a unique set of organizational tools to ensure our academic programs run efficiently and effectively, allowing our instructors to focus on mentoring students and our parent-teachers to feel fully supported.

I look forward to serving this community and helping every student at Scholars reach their full potential.
